1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from af-Nawfaliy from af-Sakuniy who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘You must not lodge women in a chamber, do not teach them writing (that would lead to unlawful behavior), but teach them the spinning wheel and Chapter 24 of the Quran.’”

2. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ali ibn Asbat from his uncle Ya’qub ibn Salim in a marfu’ manner who has said the following: “‘Amir al-Mu’minin (a.s.), has said, ‘You must not teach your women Surah Yusuf and do not read it for them; in it there is sedition, instead teach them Surah Nur because in it there are exhortations.’”

A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ja’far ibn Muhammad al-Ash’ariy from ibn al-Qaddah who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has prohibited riding of a female’s genital organ on a saddle.’”

4. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ’Abd Allah from Muhammad ibn Ali from abu Ishaq from al-Harith al-‘A’war who has said the following: “’Amir al-Mu’minin (a.s.), has said, ‘You must not allow female organs to ride on saddle to excite them for indecent and sinful acts.’”
