بَابُ إِجَابَةِ دَعْوَةِ الْمُسْلِمِ‌

مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْكَرْخِيِّ قَالَ

قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص‌ لَوْ أَنَّ مُؤْمِناً دَعَانِي إِلَى طَعَامِ ذِرَاعِ شَاةٍ لَأَجَبْتُهُ وَ كَانَ ذَلِكَ مِنَ الدِّينِ وَ لَوْ أَنَّ مُشْرِكاً أَوْ مُنَافِقاً دَعَانِي إِلَى طَعَامِ جَزُورٍ مَا أَجَبْتُهُ وَ كَانَ ذَلِكَ مِنَ الدِّينِ أَبَى اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ لِي زَبْدَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ وَ الْمُنَافِقِينَ وَ طَعَامَهُمْ‌.

1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Mahbub from Ibrahim al-Karkhiy who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘If a believing man invites me for food that consists of only a hand of sheep, I accept it and that is of religion. If an idolater or hypocrite invites me for food that consists of a whole camel, I do not accept and that is of religion. Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, disdains one’s receiving gifts from pagans and hypocrites and their food.’”

2. Ahmad ibn Muhammad has narrated from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Muthanna’ al-Hannat from Ishaq ibn Yazid who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘It is of the rights of a Muslim on a Muslim to accept his invitation.’”

عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنِ الْمُعَلَّى بْنِ خُنَيْسٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ:

إِنَّ مِنَ الْحُقُوقِ الْوَاجِبَاتِ لِلْمُؤْمِنِ أَنْ تُجَابَ دَعْوَتُهُ.

3. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from Ibrahim ibn ‘Umar from Mu‘alla’ ibn Khunayth who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘It is of obligatory rights of a believer that you accept his invitation.’”

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص‌ أُوصِي الشَّاهِدَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي وَ الْغَائِبَ أَنْ يُجِيبَ دَعْوَةَ الْمُسْلِمِ وَ لَوْ عَلَى خَمْسَةِ أَمْيَالٍ فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ مِنَ الدِّينِ.

4. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Hassan ibn Mahbub from “Amr ibn abu al-Miqdam from Jabir who has said the following: “Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, advised, ‘Those of my followers present must inform those absent to accept the invitation of a Muslim even if it is five miles away, because it is of religion.’”

5. Abu Ali al-Ash‘ariy has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar from ibn Faddal from Tha‘labah ibn Maymun from ‘Abd al-’A‘la’ Mawla Ale Sam from Mu‘alla’ ibn Khunayth who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘It is of the obligatory rights of a Muslim on his brother (in faith) to accept his invitation.’”

عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِيِّ عَنِ السَّكُونِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ:

أَجِبْ فِي الْوَلِيمَةِ وَ الْخِتَانِ وَ لَا تُجِبْ فِي خَفْضِ الْجَوَارِي.

6. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from al-Nawfaliy from al-Sakuniy who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Accept an invitation for a wedding and circumcision; but do not accept for Khafd (lowering) girls.’”
