1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn Isma’il from Abu Isma’il al-Sarraj from Harun ibn Kharijah that Abi 'Abdillah (al-Saduq) (as) said regarding Salat al-Shukr (prayer of gratitude): "When Allah grants you a bounty, you should perform a two Rak'ah (unit) prayer. In the first Rak'ah recite Surah al-Fatiha and Surah al-Ikhlas. In the second Rak'ah, recite Sura al-Fatiha and Surah al-Kafiroon. In Ruku’ (bowing) and sajdah (prostration) of the first Rak'ah say: 'Praise be to God with, thanks (be to Him), thanks (be to Him) and praise (be to Him).' In Ruku' and Sujood of your second Rak'ah, you should say: 'Praise be to God who answered my prayer and gave me what I asked of Him.'"
