عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ الْخَزَّازِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ:

1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from abu Ayyub al-Khazzaz who has said the following: “Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Allah, most Blessed, most High, dislikes a dress that causes public abhorrence.”’

1. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Wahab ibn ‘Abd Rabbihi who has narrated the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘If one says, “Allah knows”, when he does not know something, the Throne of Allah vibrates as a sign of expressing His greatness.”’

2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn ’Isma‘il from abu ’Isma‘il al-Sarraj from ibn Muskan from a man who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘It is enough humiliation for a man to wear a dress that causes public abhorrence or use such a stumper.’”

It is narrated from the narrator of the previous Hadith from ibn Faddal from Tha‘labah from abu Jamilah, al-Mufaddal ibn Salih from Aban ibn Taghlib who has narrated the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘When a servant says, “Allah has the knowledge” and he is not truthful in what he says, then Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, says, “Why did you not find someone other than Me to ascribe a lie to him?”’”

4. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn Sinan from abu al-Jarud from abu Sa‘id who has said the following: “Al-Husayn (a.s.), has said, ‘If one wears a dress that causes public abhorrence, Allah on the Day of Judgment will make him to wear a dress of fire.’”
