3. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Nu’man from Thabit ibn abu Sa‘id who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), was asked about women: if they can form their hair in loops and knots. He (the Imam) said, ‘It can be done from wool or her own hairs and it is Makruh (undesirable) for a woman to form loops and knots on her head from the hairs of other women; but if she joins her own hair with wool it is not harmful.’”
