سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ- أَوْ لامَسْتُمُ النِّساءَ فَقَالَ هُوَ الْجِمَاعُ وَ لَكِنَّ اللَّهَ سَتِيرٌ يُحِبُّ السَّتْرَ فَلَمْ يُسَمِّ كَمَا تُسَمُّونَ.

5. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hammad ibn ‘Uthman from al-Halabiy who has said the following: “This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the words of Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, ‘. . . or that you touch women.’ (5:6) He (the Imam) said, ‘It means going to bed with woman but Allah covers and He loves covering private matters so He has not mentioned it by its name as you do.’”
