قَالَ لِي أَبُو الْحَسَنِ ع إِذَا وَعَدْتُمُ الصِّبْيَانَ فَفُوا لَهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ يَرَوْنَ أَنَّكُمُ الَّذِينَ تَرْزُقُونَهُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ لَيْسَ يَغْضَبُ لِشَيْءٍ كَغَضَبِهِ لِلنِّسَاءِ وَ الصِّبْيَانِ.

8. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Kulayb al-Saydawiy who has said the following: “Abu al-Hassan (a.s.), once said to me, ‘When you promise children something, then you must keep your promise because they see you as the only one who provides them sustenance. Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, does not become as angrier as He does for women and children.’”
