عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي نَجْرَانَ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ع أَنَّهُ قَالَ:

مَا قَتَلَتْ مِنَ الْجَوارِحِ مُكَلِّبِينَ وَ ذُكِرَ اسْمُ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ عَلَيْهِ فَكُلُوا مِنْهُ وَ مَا قَتَلَتِ الْكِلَابُ الَّتِي لَمْ تُعَلِّمُوهَا مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ تُدْرِكُوهُ فَلَا تَطْعَمُوهُ.

5. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn abu Najran from ‘Asem ibn Hamid from Muhammad ibn Qays who has said the following: “Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘What is killed by dogs trained for hunting and the name of Allah is mentioned, you can use it for food, and what is killed by dogs not trained before and before you arrive to slaughter properly, then do not use it for food.’”
