أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ وَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ شَاذَانَ جَمِيعاً عَنْ صَفْوَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ مُسْكَانَ عَنِ الْحَلَبِيِّ قَالَ:

سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع عَنِ الصَّيْدِ يَضْرِبُهُ الرَّجُلُ بِالسَّيْفِ أَوْ يَطْعُنُهُ بِالرُّمْحِ أَوْ يَرْمِيهِ بِسَهْمٍ فَقَتَلَهُ وَ قَدْ سَمَّى حِينَ فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ كُلْ لَا بَأْسَ بِهِ.

Abu Ali al-Ash‘ariy has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar and Muhammad ibn ’Isma‘il has narrated from al-Fadl ibn Shadhan from all from Safwan from ibn Muskan from al-Fialabiy who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a prey that a man hits with a sword or with a spear or shoots with an arrow and kills, and he has mentioned the name of Allah when shooting. He (the Imam) said, ‘You can use it for food and it is not unlawful.’”
