أَبَانٌ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ع قَالَ:

مَا أَخَذَتِ الْحَبَائِلُ فَقَطَعَتْ مِنْهُ شَيْئاً فَهُوَ مَيِّتٌ وَ مَا أَدْرَكْتَ مِنْ سَائِرِ جَسَدِهِ فَذَكِّهِ ثُمَّ كُلْ مِنْهُ.

5. Aban has narrated from Zurarah who has said the following: “Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘Whatever of a prey is caught in the snare and is cutoff, it is dead, but what you find alive of the rest of the body, you can slaughter it properly and use it for food.’”
