4. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from certain persons of his people who have said the following: “Once, al-Marzuban asked al-Rida’ (a.s.), about animal slaughtered by a child who is not mature yet, and the slaughtering by women. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not unlawful to use for food what is slaughtered by castrated people, a child and a woman if they slaughter it properly and mention the name of Allah, if they are compelled to do so in an emergency.’”
