2. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from Furat ibn Ahnaf (in a Maqtu ’ manner) who has said the following: “A certain person of the Israelites complained before Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, about hardheartedness and lack of tears. Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, revealed to him to eat lintels. He followed the instruction and his tears began to flow.’”
