2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from certain persons of our people from Ali ibn Hassan from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Kathir who has said the following: “I once became ill in al-Madinah because of diarrhea and abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), described for me how to prepare a sawiq (fried flour) of al-Jawars and commanded me to use sawiq of al- Jawars and drink it with water of al-Kamun (cumin). I followed the instruction and the diarrhea stopped.’”
