عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ جَابِرٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ص قَالَ:

مَنْ سَرَّحَ لِحْيَتَهُ سَبْعِينَ مَرَّةً وَ عَدَّهَا مَرَّةً مَرَّةً لَمْ يَقْرَبْهُ الشَّيْطَانُ أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْماً.

10. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from al-Hassan ibn ‘Atiyyah from ’Isma‘il ibn Jabir who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘If one uses his comb seventy times and counts it one by one, Satan will not come close to him for forty days.’”
