2. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Sama‘ah who has said the following: “Once abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), was asked about the skins of beasts. He (the Imam) said, ‘You can use them when riding but you must not use them during performing Salat (prayer).”’
