عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ الْبَخْتَرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ:

إِنَّ أَصْلَ حَمَامِ الْحَرَمِ بَقِيَّةُ حَمَامٍ كَانَ لِإِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ع اتَّخَذَهَا كَانَ يَأْنَسُ بِهَا فَقَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع يُسْتَحَبُّ أَنْ تَتَّخِذَ طَيْراً مَقْصُوصاً تَأْنَسُ بِهِ مَخَافَةَ الْهَوَامِّ.

3. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn abu ‘ Umayr from Hafs ibn al-Bakhtariy who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘The real free pigeon remaining is the pigeon that belonged to Tsma‘il ibn Ibrahim, ‘Alayhima al-Salam, who kept it for comfort. Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘It is preferable to keep a bird with clipped wings for comfort and for (to dispel) fear from vermin.’”
