17. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn abu Najran from Muhammad ibn ‘Amr [and] Ibrahim al-Sindiy from Yahya al- Azraq who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that ’Amir al-Mu’minin had dug a well, then they threw things in it and it was reported to him (the Imam). He went, stood on the well and said, ‘You must stop throwing things in it, otherwise, I will make the pigeons to use it as their living place.’ Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), then said, ‘The sound of the flapping wings of a pigeon repels Shayatin.’”
