قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ص لِسَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ جَعَلَ لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ حَدّاً وَ جَعَلَ عَلَى كُلِّ مَنْ تَعَدَّى حَدّاً مِنْ حُدُودِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ حَدّاً وَ جَعَلَ مَا دُونَ الْأَرْبَعَةِ الشُّهَدَاءِ مَسْتُوراً عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ.

A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Khalid, from Amro Bin Usman, from Ali Bin Al Hassan Bin Ali Bin Rabat, Abu Abdullah asws has said: ‘The Prophet saww said to Sa’ad Bin Ubada that Allah azwj Made a Penalty ( Hadd ) for everything, and Made a Penalty ( Hadd ) to be upon everyone who transgresses a Limit ( Hadd ) from the Limits of Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic, and Made what was less than the four witnesses as a veil upon the Muslims’.
