يُسْتَتَابُ فَإِنْ تَابَ وَ إِلَّا قُتِلَ قِيلَ لِجَمِيلٍ فَمَا تَقُولُ إِنْ تَابَ ثُمَّ رَجَعَ عَنِ الْإِسْلَامِ قَالَ يُسْتَتَابُ قِيلَ فَمَا تَقُولُ إِنْ تَابَ ثُمَّ رَجَعَ قَالَ لَمْ أَسْمَعْ فِي هَذَا شَيْئاً وَ لَكِنَّهُ عِنْدِي بِمَنْزِلَةِ الزَّانِي الَّذِي يُقَامُ عَلَيْهِ الْحَدُّ مَرَّتَيْنِ ثُمَّ يُقْتَلُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ:" وَ قَالَ رَوَى أَصْحَابُنَا": أَنَّ الزَّانِيَ يُقْتَلُ فِي الْمَرَّةِ الثَّالِثَةِ.

Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Isa, from Ali Bin Hadeed, from Jameel Bin Darraj, and others, (It has been narrated) from one of the two (5 th or 6 th Imam asws ) regarding a man who retracted from Al-Islam. He asws said: ‘He would be told to repent, so if he does repent (fine), or else killed’.
