قَتْلُ الْعَمْدِ كُلُّ مَا عَمَدَ بِهِ الضَّرْبَ فَعَلَيْهِ الْقَوَدُ وَ إِنَّمَا الْخَطَأُ أَنْ يُرِيدَ الشَّيْءَ فَيُصِيبَ غَيْرَهُ وَ قَالَ إِذَا أَقَرَّ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ بِالْقَتْلِ قُتِلَ وَ إِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ عَلَيْهِ بَيِّنَةٌ.

Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ali Bin Hadeed and Ibn Abu Umeyr, altogether from Jameel Bin Darraj, from one of his companions, (It has been narrated) from one of the two (5 th or 6 th Imam asws ) having said: ‘The deliberate killing is all of what the strike is deliberated with, so upon him is the retaliation, and rather, the erroneous (killing) is that he intends the thing, so he hits another (person)’. And he asws said: ‘When he confesses upon himself with the killing, he would be killed, and even if there does not happen to be a proof against him’.
