عَلِيٌّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ جَمِيلِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مَرْوَانَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ

كَانَ أَبِي ع يَقُولُ‌ وَ أَيُّ شَيْ‌ءٍ أَقَرُّ لِعَيْنِي مِنَ التَّقِيَّةِ إِنَّ التَّقِيَّةَ جُنَّةُ الْمُؤْمِنِ.

English translationMuhammad Sarwar

14. Ali has narrated from his father from ibn Mahbub from Jamil ibn Salih from Muhammad ibn Marwan from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “My father (a.s.) has said, ‘What could be more delightful to me than al-Taqiyyah’, it is a shield for believing people.’”
