الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ الْحَجَّاجِ السَّبِيعِيِّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ وَلِيدٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ

سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ‌ مَنْ أَذْنَبَ ذَنْباً فَعَلِمَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ مُطَّلِعٌ عَلَيْهِ إِنْ شَاءَ عَذَّبَهُ وَ إِنْ شَاءَ غَفَرَ لَهُ غَفَرَ لَهُ وَ إِنْ لَمْ يَسْتَغْفِرْ.

5. Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Imran ibn al- Hajjaj al-Subay’i (from Muhammad ibn Walid) from Yunus ibn Ya’qub who has said the following: “I heard Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) saying, ‘If one commits a sin and knows that Allah is aware of it. He punishes him if He so wills or forgives him if He so wills. In such case. He (Allah) forgives him even if he does not ask forgiveness.’”
