عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي نَجْرَانَ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ قَالَتْ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص‌ مَنْ أَصَابَهُ هَمٌّ أَوْ غَمٌّ أَوْ كَرْبٌ أَوْ بَلَاءٌ أَوْ لَاوَاءٌ- فَلْيَقُلِ اللَّهُ رَبِّي وَ لَا أُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئاً تَوَكَّلْتُ‌ عَلَى الْحَيِّ الَّذِي لا يَمُوتُ‌.

2. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from ‘Abd al- Rahman ibn abu Najran from ‘Asim ibn Hamid from Thabit from Asma’ who has said the following: “The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘Whoever suffers from sorrow, pain, misfortune or poverty should say, “Allah is My Lord and I do not associate any partner with Him, I place my trust in the Living One who does not die.’”
