سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع عَنْ رَجُلٍ نَسِيَ مِنَ الْوُضُوءِ الذِّرَاعَ وَ الرَّأْسَ قَالَ يُعِيدُ الْوُضُوءَ إِنَّ الْوُضُوءَ يُتْبَعُ بَعْضُهُ بَعْضاً.

9. Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad has narrated from Mu‘alla’ ibn Muhammad from al-Hassan ibn Ali al-Washsha’ from Hammad ibn ‘Uthaman from Hakam ibn Hukaym who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a man who forgets in his Wudu’ to wash his forearm and head. He (the Imam) said, ‘He must do it again; it is necessary to maintain the prescribed sequence in the acts of Wudu’.’”
