مَنْ حَفَرَ لِمَيِّتٍ قَبْراً كَانَ كَمَنْ بَوَّأَهُ بَيْتاً مُوَافِقاً إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ.
English translationMuhammad Sarwar
1. Ali has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Sayf ibn ‘ Amira from Sa‘d ibn Tarif who has said the following: “Abu Ja’far (a.s.), has said, ‘One who prepares the grave for a believing person is like one who provides him a desirable dwelling up to the Day of Judgment.”’

[1]في التذكرة: يستحب أن يجعل للميت لحد و معناه أنّه إذا بلغ الحافر ارض القبر حفر في حائطه ممّا يلي القبلة مكانا يوضع فيه الميت و هو أفضل من الشق و معناه أن يحفر في قعر القبر شقا شبه النهر يضع الميت فيه و يسقف عليه بشيء ذهب إليه علماؤنا و به قال الشافعى و أكثر أهل العلم لقول ابن عبّاس: إن النبيّ صلّى اللّه عليه و آله لحد له أبو طلحة الأنصاريّ و قال أبو حنيفة:ص 165
