وَ فِي رِوَايَةٍ أُخْرَى‌ سُئِلَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع عَنِ الْمَصْلُوبِ يُصِيبُهُ عَذَابُ الْقَبْرِ فَقَالَ

إِنَّ رَبَّ الْأَرْضِ هُوَ رَبُّ الْهَوَاءِ فَيُوحِي اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ إِلَى الْهَوَاءِ فَيَضْغَطُهُ ضَغْطَةً أَشَدَّ مِنْ ضَغْطَةِ الْقَبْرِ.

17. The following is narrated in another Hadith: “Someone asked abu ’Abd Allah, ‘Does a person who dies because of being hanged to death, suffer the severe pressure of the grave?’ The Imam said, ‘The Lord of the earth is also the Lord of the air. Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Glorious, inspires the air and it applies a pressure on the deceased which is greater than the pressure in the grave.’”
