42. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ah ibn Asbat who in a marfu’ manner has said the following: “During an unfortunate occasion abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), would say, ‘I praise Allah who has not caused any suffering in my religion. I praise Allah who could have made my misfortune greater than this if He so wished. I praise Allah for the fact which if He wanted to come into existence, it would come into being.’”
