عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَسْبَاطٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَسْبَاطٍ عَنْ سَوْرَةَ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ قَالَ

قَالَ لِي أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ ع وَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا لَخُزَّانُ اللَّهِ فِي سَمَائِهِ وَ أَرْضِهِ لَا عَلَى ذَهَبٍ وَ لَا عَلَى فِضَّةٍ إِلَّا عَلَى عِلْمِهِ.

2. A number of our people has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from Ali ibn Asbat from his father, Asbat from Sawra ibn Kulayb who said: Imam Abu Ja’far (a.s.) said to me: “By Allah, we are the treasurers of Allah in His heavens and on His earth, not over gold or silver, but over His knowledge.”
