1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn abu ‘ Umayr from Hammad from al-Halabiy who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘It is not proper for an Imam to move from his place after saying the phrase of offering greeting of peace before people behind him complete their Salah (prayer). He (the narrator) has said that I asked him (the Imam) about a man who leads others in Salah (prayer) if it is necessary for him to say follow up supplications, after the phrase of offering greeting of peace, along with those who have followed him in Salah (prayer). He (the Imam) said, ‘He says Tasbih (Allah is free of all defects) and thereafter whoever wants leaves for their needs and a man does not say the follow up supplications because the Imam is doing so.’”
