قَالَ الرِّضَا ع كُلُّ طَرِيقٍ يُوطَأُ وَ يُتَطَرَّقُ كَانَتْ فِيهِ جَادَّةٌ أَوْ لَمْ تَكُنْ لَا يَنْبَغِي الصَّلَاةُ فِيهِ قُلْتُ فَأَيْنَ أُصَلِّي قَالَ يَمْنَةً وَ يَسْرَةً.

8. It is a narration from him (narrator of previous Hadith) by Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn al-Fadl who has said the following: “Al-Rida’ (a.s.), has said, ‘Do not perform Salah (prayer) on any road which is used, regardless, it has a main path or not. It is not proper to perform Salah (prayer) on it.’ I then asked, ‘Where then one can perform Salah (prayer)?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘On its right or left sides.’”
