25. Ahmad ibn Idris has narrated from Muhammad ibn Ahmad al-Sayyariy from abu Yazid al-Qasmiy, Qasmah is a village in Yeman in Basra, who has said the following: “I once asked abu al-Hassan al-Rida’ (a.s.), about al-Darish skin from which slippers are made. He (the Imam) said, ‘Do not perform Salah (prayer) with them because it is tanned with the leftover of dogs.’”

[1]في القاموس الدارش جلد معروف اسود كانه فارسى الأصل. و لعلهم لم يكونوا يغسلونها بعد الدباغ أو لأن بعد الغسل يبقى فيها اجزاء صغار أو استحبابا للاحتياط لعله يبقى فيها شيء و عدم امره بالغسل لاجل اللون او لما ذكرنا فتأمل.( آت)ص 403
