سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع هَلْ قَبْلَ الْعِشَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ وَ بَعْدَهَا شَيْءٌ قَالَ لَا غَيْرَ أَنِّي أُصَلِّي بَعْدَهَا رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَ لَسْتُ أَحْسُبُهُمَا مِنْ صَلَاةِ اللَّيْلِ.

6. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn abu ‘ Umayr from Hammad from al-Halabiy who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), ‘Is there anything before or after al-‘Isha’ al- Akhirah?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘No, except that I perform two Rak‘at thereafter and I do not count it as part of nightly Salah (prayer).’”
