7. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from al-Hassan ibn Ali ibn Yaqtin from Al-Husayn ibn Mayyah from ‘Isa who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘You must remain on your guard in intermingling with lowly people; lowly people do not end up in goodness.’” (Al-Saduq in Ma‘ani al-Akhbar has said the following to be of the qualities of lowly people: People indifferent to what they say or what is said against them, those who play tambourine, those who are indifferent to favor and insult or those who falsely claim to be trustworthy.)

[3]قوله:« و مخالطة السفلة» قال الصدوق في معاني الأخبار جاءت الاخبار في معنى السفلة على وجوه فمنها ان السفلة هو الذي لا يبالى ما قال و لا ما قيل له و منها ان السفلة من يضرب الطنبور و منها ان السفلة من لم يسره الاحسان و لم يسؤه الإساءة و منها ان السفلة من ادعى الأمانة و ليس لها أهل و هذه اوصاف السفلة من وجد فيها كلها او بعضها وجب الاجتناب منه. اه أقول: قال في النهاية: السفلة- بفتح السين و كسر الفاء-: السقاط من الناس.ص 158
