سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ السَّلَفِ فِي اللَّحْمِ قَالَ لَا تَقْرَبَنَّهُ فَإِنَّهُ يُعْطِيكَ مَرَّةً السَّمِينَ وَ مَرَّةً التَّاوِيَ وَ مَرَّةً الْمَهْزُولَ اشْتَرِهِ مُعَايَنَةً يَداً بِيَدٍ قَالَ وَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ السَّلَفِ فِي رَوَايَا الْمَاءِ قَالَ لَا تَقْرَبْهَا فَإِنَّهُ يُعْطِيكَ مَرَّةً نَاقِصَةً وَ مَرَّةً كَامِلَةً وَ لَكِنْ اشْتَرِهِ مُعَايَنَةً وَ هُوَ أَسْلَمُ لَكَ وَ لَهُ.

12. Abu Ali al-Ash’ariy has narrated from certain persons of his people from Ahmad ibn al-Nadr from ‘Amr ibn Shamir from Jabir who has said the following: “I once asked abu Ja‘far (a.s.), about the case of advance payment for meat. He (the Imam) said, ‘You must not go close to it because one time he gives you fatty, one time what is about to become spoilled and one time he gives you boney. Buy with examination and in hand in hand manner.’ I then asked about advance payment for containers of water. He (the Imam) said, ‘You must not go close to it because one time he gives you less and one time complete. Buy it with examination; it is safe for you and for him.’”

[1]قوله:« لا تقربنه» المشهور بين الاصحاب بل المقطوع في كلامهم عدم جواز السلف في اللحم و الخبر مع ضعفه يمكن حمله على الكراهة بقرينة آخر الخبر مع أنّه اضبط من كثير ممّا جوزوا السلم فيه. و قال في التحرير: لا يجوز السلم في الحطب حزما و لا الماء قربا و روايا و يجوز إذا عين صنف الماء و قدره بالوزن( آت) و التاوى: الهالك و المراد هاهنا الذي يشرف على الموت فيذبح.ص 222
