اشْتَرَيْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع جَارِيَةً فَنَاوَلَنِي أَرْبَعَةَ دَنَانِيرَ فَأَبَيْتُ فَقَالَ لَتَأْخُذَنَّ فَأَخَذْتُهَا وَ قَالَ لَا تَأْخُذْ مِنَ الْبَائِعِ.

3. Ahmad ibn Muhammad has narrated from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from certain persons of our people of slave traders who has said the following: “I once bought a slave-girl for abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), and he (the Imam) gave me four dinars but I declined. He (the Imam) said, ‘You must take it’ and I took it and he (the Imam) said, ‘You must not take anything from the seller.’”
