14. Muhammad ibn Yahya has said that Muhammad once wrote to abu Muhammad (a.s.), about a man to whom another man owed one hundred dirham. He demanded for payment but the debtor said, ‘I will come back to you in ten days after completing my work. If I will not come back, you will have one thousand dirham on me at once without any condition and I appoint witnesses for it.’ He then calls for witnesses. He (the Imam) signed the answer that said, ‘They must only testify to what is true and the creditor must only take what is his right, by the will of Allah.’”
