جِئْتُ بِكِتَابٍ إِلَى أَبِي أَعْطَانِيهِ إِنْسَانٌ فَأَخْرَجْتُهُ مِنْ كُمِّي فَقَالَ لِي يَا بُنَيَّ لَا تَحْمِلْ فِي كُمِّكَ شَيْئاً فَإِنَّ الْكُمَّ مِضْيَاعٌ.

36. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn Khalid from Ja’far ibn Muhammad al- Ash’ariy from ibn Qaddah who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘I once took a letter to my father that a man had sent and I took it out of my sleeves. He (the Imam) said, ‘My son, do not keep anything in your sleeves; it causes loss of things.’”
