عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ رَفَعَهُ إِلَى أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ع قَالَ:

الْوَلِيمَةُ يَوْمٌ وَ يَوْمَانِ مَكْرُمَةٌ وَ ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ رِيَاءٌ وَ سُمْعَةٌ.

3. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Faddal in a marfu’ manner who has said the following: “Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘Serving food in a wedding ceremony for one or two days is an honor ; but for three days (it) is a show-off and for the sake of publicity.’”
