Hadith.1622 - Ali ibn Ja'far asked his brother Imam Musa ibn Jafar Al-Kadhim (as) about a man who gives his Zakat for dirhams in the form of dinars, and for dinars in the form of dirhams, based on their value. Imam (as) replied: "There is no issue with that."

[6]اخراج القيمة في النقدين و الغلّات اجماعىّ و الخلاف واقع في زكاة الانعام كما في المعتبر ص 264. و قال المفيد في المقنعة: و لا يجوز القيمة في زكاة الانعام الا أن يقدم الأسنان المخصوصة في الزكاة، و مال إليه صاحب المدارك، و يفهم من المعتبر الميل إليه و-- جوز الشيخ في اخراج القيمة في الزكاة كلها أي شيء كانت القيمة على وجه البدل لا على أنها أصل، و الى هذا القول ذهب أكثر المتأخرين.( المرآة).ص 31
