قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ ع لَوْ أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَخَذَ حُزْمَةً مِنْ قُضْبَانٍ أَوْ أَصْلًا فِيهِ قُضْبَانٌ فَضَرَبَهُ ضَرْبَةً وَاحِدَةً أَجْزَأَهُ عَنْ عِدَّةِ مَا يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَجْلِدَهُ مِنْ عِدَّةِ الْقُضْبَانِ.

Hadith.5008 - Narrated by Musa ibn Bakr from Zurara who said: Abu Jafar Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (as) said: "If a man were to take a bundle of rods or a branch containing multiple rods and struck someone with it once, it would suffice him for however many lashes he intended to administer, equal to the number of rods in that bundle."
