الصَّادِقُ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ع لِرَجُلٍ اجْعَلْ قَلْبَكَ قَرِيناً تُزَاوِلُهُ وَ اجْعَلْ عِلْمَكَ وَالِداً تَتَّبِعُهُ وَ اجْعَلْ نَفْسَكَ عَدُوّاً تُجَاهِدُهُ وَ اجْعَلْ مَالَكَ كَعَارِيَّةٍ تَرُدُّهَا.

Hadith.5892 - Ibn Muskan narrated from Abdullah ibn Abi Ya'fur that Ja'far ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) said to a man: "Make your heart a companion you engage with, make your knowledge a guide you follow, make your soul an enemy you struggle against, and consider your wealth as a loan that you will return."
