1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from Hariz from Zurarah and ‘Ubayd ibn Zurarah who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘If one has plantations and dates for which charity (Zakat) is paid, thereafter no other Zakat is due on it. Zakat is not due even if it remains in one’s possession for a whole year unless one changes it into another kind of wealth. After the change it remains in one’s possession for a whole year in which case one is required to pay Zakat, otherwise, Zakat not is due on it even if it remains in one’s possession for a thousand years in the same substance. Zakat is only one out of ten and once it is paid there is not anything else to pay until it is changed into another form of wealth and it remains in one’s possession for a whole year.’”
