سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الدَّارِ يُوجَدُ فِيهَا الْوَرِقُ فَقَالَ إِنْ كَانَتْ مَعْمُورَةً فِيهَا أَهْلُهَا فَهُوَ لَهُمْ وَ إِنْ كَانَتْ خَرِبَةً قَدْ جَلَا عَنْهَا أَهْلُهَا فَالَّذِي وَجَدَ الْمَالَ فَهُوَ أَحَقُّ بِهِ.

5. Ali has narrated from his father from ibn Mahbub al-‘ Ala’ ibn Razin from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following: “I once asked abu Ja‘far (a.s.), about a house wherein certain leaves (coins of silver) are found. He (the Imam) replied, ‘If it is livable and the dwellers live therein, it belongs to them; but if it is not livable, whose inhabitants have abandoned it, then it is for the one who has found it.’”
