بَابُ التَّطَوُّعِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ

عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ غَيْرُهُ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي نَصْرٍ قَالَ

قَالَ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ ع‌ الصَّلَاةُ النَّافِلَةُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ سِتُّ رَكَعَاتٍ بُكْرَةً وَ سِتُّ رَكَعَاتٍ صَدْرَ النَّهَارِ وَ رَكْعَتَانِ إِذَا زَالَتِ الشَّمْسُ ثُمَّ صَلِّ الْفَرِيضَةَ وَ صَلِّ بَعْدَهَا سِتَّ رَكَعَاتٍ.[1]

1. Ali ibn Muhammad and others have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn abu Nasr who has said the following: “Abu al-Hassan (a.s.), has said, ‘Optional Salah (prayer) on Friday is six Rak‘at very early, six Rak‘at in midday, two Rak‘at at Zawal (declining of the sun toward the west at noontime), then perform obligatory Salah (prayer), then perform six Rak‘at thereafter.”’

جَمَاعَةٌ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ الْمُخْتَارِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ عَنْ مُرَادِ بْنِ خَارِجَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع‌ أَمَّا أَنَا فَإِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْجُمُعَةِ وَ كَانَتِ الشَّمْسُ مِنَ الْمَشْرِقِ بِمِقْدَارِهَا مِنَ الْمَغْرِبِ فِي وَقْتِ صَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ صَلَّيْتُ سِتَّ رَكَعَاتٍ فَإِذَا انْتَفَخَ النَّهَارُ صَلَّيْتُ سِتّاً فَإِذَا زَاغَتِ الشَّمْسُ أَوْ زَالَتْ صَلَّيْتُ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ صَلَّيْتُ الظُّهْرَ ثُمَّ صَلَّيْتُ بَعْدَهَا سِتّاً.

2. A group has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from al-Husayn ibn al- Mukhtar from Ali ibn ‘Abd al-‘Aziz from Murad ibn Kharijah who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘On Friday morning, when the distance from the sun to the east becomes like the distance from the sun to the west at the time of al-‘Asr, I perform six Rak‘at. When it (morning) is wider, I perform six Rak‘at, when it is Zawal (declining of the sun toward the west at noontime), I perform two Rak‘at, then perform al-Dhuhr, then I perform six Rak‘at thereafter.’”

قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ ع‌ إِذَا كُنْتَ شَاكّاً فِي الزَّوَالِ فَصَلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ فَإِذَا اسْتَيْقَنْتَ فَابْدَأْ بِالْفَرِيضَةِ.

3. A group has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from Fadalah or Muhammad ibn Sinan from ibn Muskan from ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Ajalan who has said the following: “Abu Ja’far (a.s.), has said, ‘If you have doubts about Zawal (declining of the sun toward the west at noontime), perform two Rak‘at. When you become certain of Zawal, then begin performing obligatory Salah (prayer).”’
