سَهْلٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى قَالَ:

سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع- عَنْ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَ‌ فَلْيَحْذَرِ الَّذِينَ يُخالِفُونَ عَنْ أَمْرِهِ‌ أَنْ تُصِيبَهُمْ فِتْنَةٌ أَوْ يُصِيبَهُمْ عَذابٌ أَلِيمٌ‌ قَالَ فِتْنَةٌ فِي دِينِهِ أَوْ جِرَاحَةٌ- لَا يَأْجُرُهُ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهَا.

281. Sahl, from Muhammad Bin Abdul Hameed, from yunus, from Abdul A’ala who said: I asked Abu Abdullah (asws) about the Statement of Allah (azwj): “[24:63] therefore let those beware who go against his order lest a trial afflict them or there befall them a painful chastisement”. Imam (asws) said: (it’s) ‘فِتْنَةٌ’ Strife in His (azwj) Religion or oppression for which Allah (azwj) does not Reward’.
