مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ قَالَ:

1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Aban ibn ‘Uthman from Sa‘id ibn Yasar who has said the following: “I once asked abu ’Abd Allah (a.s.), about a man to whom Zakat is given for distribution, if he can take a certain amount for himself. He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, can do so.’”

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from al-Hassan ibn af-Husayn al-Farsi from Sulayman ibn Hafs al-Basriy who has said the following: “Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), has stated this Hadith. ‘The Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, “Special treatment should be offered to a guest for the two nights; but in the third night he is of the people of the family, and he eats what he receives.’””

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from al-Husayn ibn ‘Uthman who has said the following: “I once asked abu Ibrahim (a.s.), about a man to whom Zakat is given for distribution among deserving beneficiaries, if he can take a certain amount for himself even though not anything is assigned for him. He (the Imam) said, ‘He can take for himself like what he gives to another person.”’

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص‌ الضِّيَافَةُ أَوَّلَ يَوْمٍ وَ الثَّانِيَ وَ الثَّالِثَ وَ مَا بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فَإِنَّهَا صَدَقَةٌ تُصُدِّقَ بِهَا عَلَيْهِ قَالَ ثُمَّ قَالَ ص لَا يَنْزِلُ أَحَدُكُمْ عَلَى أَخِيهِ حَتَّى يُوثِمَهُ مَعَهُ‌ قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ يُوثِمُهُ قَالَ حَتَّى لَا يَكُونَ عِنْدَهُ مَا يُنْفِقُ عَلَيْهِ.

AI-Husayn ibn Muhammad has narrated from Mu‘alla’ ibn Muhammad, from Wasil, from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘Special treatment for a guest is in the first day, in the second day and on the third day. Anything beyond this is charity that you give to him.’ He (the Messenger of Allah) then said, ‘One of you must not stay with his brother (in belief) to cause him difficulties.’ It was asked, ‘O Messenger of Allah, how can he cause difficulties?’ He (the Messenger of Allah) said, ‘He stays with him until he (the host) has nothing else to spend for him.’”

سَأَلْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ ع عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يُعْطِي الرَّجُلَ الدَّرَاهِمَ يَقْسِمُهَا وَ يَضَعُهَا فِي مَوَاضِعِهَا وَ هُوَ مِمَّنْ يَحِلُّ لَهُ الصَّدَقَةُ قَالَ لَا بَأْسَ أَنْ يَأْخُذَ لِنَفْسِهِ كَمَا يُعْطِي غَيْرَهُ قَالَ وَ لَا يَجُوزُ لَهُ أَنْ يَأْخُذَ إِذَا أَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَضَعَهَا فِي مَوَاضِعَ مُسَمَّاةٍ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Yunus ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Hajjaj who has said the following: “I once asked abu al-Hassan (a.s.), about a man to whom dirhams are given for distribution among deserving people and himself is a deserving person, if he can take a certain amount for himself. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not harmful to take like what he gives to the other persons. However, it is not permissible for him to take for himself if he is instructed to give it to definite causes, unless with the permission of the donator.’”
