كَانَ عَبْدُ الْمُطَّلِبِ يُفْرَشُ لَهُ بِفِنَاءِ الْكَعْبَةِ لَا يُفْرَشُ لِأَحَدٍ غَيْرِهِ وَ كَانَ لَهُ وُلْدٌ يَقُومُونَ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ فَيَمْنَعُونَ مَنْ دَنَا مِنْهُ فَجَاءَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص وَ هُوَ طِفْلٌ يَدْرِجُ حَتَّى جَلَسَ عَلَى فَخِذَيْهِ فَأَهْوَى بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَيْهِ لِيُنَحِّيَهُ عَنْهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ عَبْدُ الْمُطَّلِبِ دَعِ ابْنِي فَإِنَّ الْمَلَكَ قَدْ أَتَاهُ.
“At a certain place around the Ka‘ba, ‘Abd al-Muttalib’s people would spread house furnishings for him only and for no one else. His sons would stand around him for protection. Once the Messenger of Allah (sw), then a small child who had just begun to walk came to ‘Abd al-Muttalib and sat in his lap. One of the people
