سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الْمَنِيِّ يُصِيبُ الثَّوْبَ قَالَ إِنْ عَرَفْتَ مَكَانَهُ فَاغْسِلْهُ وَ إِنْ خَفِيَ عَلَيْكَ مَكَانُهُ فَاغْسِلْهُ كُلَّهُ.
‘If you know the place of contact wash it clean; but if you do not know, wash all of it clean.’”
سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الْمَنِيِّ يُصِيبُ الثَّوْبَ قَالَ إِنْ عَرَفْتَ مَكَانَهُ فَاغْسِلْهُ وَ إِنْ خَفِيَ عَلَيْكَ مَكَانُهُ فَاغْسِلْهُ كُلَّهُ.

قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع آمُرُ الْجَارِيَةَ فَتَغْسِلُ ثَوْبِي مِنَ الْمَنِيِّ فَلَا تُبَالِغُ غَسْلَهُ فَأُصَلِّي فِيهِ فَإِذَا هُوَ يَابِسٌ قَالَ أَعِدْ صَلَاتَكَ أَمَّا إِنَّكَ لَوْ كُنْتَ غَسَلْتَ أَنْتَ لَمْ يَكُنْ
“I once said to abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), ‘I instruct the slave-girl to wash my clothes because of semen, but she does not pay proper attention to washing and I perform Salah (prayer) in them and it (semen) is dry. He (the Imam) said, ‘You must do your Salah (prayer) again. Had you yourself washed it, you would not have b
سَأَلْتُهُ[2] عَنِ الْمَنِيِّ يُصِيبُ الثَّوْبَ قَالَ اغْسِلِ الثَّوْبَ كُلَّهُ إِذَا خَفِيَ عَلَيْكَ مَكَانُهُ قَلِيلًا كَانَ أَوْ كَثِيراً.
‘You must wash all of your clothes when you do not know exactly the polluted spot, regardless, if it is a little or large area.’”
إِذَا احْتَلَمَ الرَّجُلُ فَأَصَابَ ثَوْبَهُ شَيْءٌ فَلْيَغْسِلِ الَّذِي أَصَابَهُ وَ إِنْ ظَنَّ أَنَّهُ أَصَابَهُ شَيْءٌ وَ لَمْ يَسْتَيْقِنْ وَ لَمْ يَرَ مَكَانَهُ فَلْيَنْضَحْهُ بِالْمَاءِ[3] وَ إِنْ يَسْتَيْقِنْ أَنَّهُ قَدْ أَصَابَهُ وَ لَمْ يَرَ مَكَانَهُ فَلْيَغْسِلْ ثَوْبَهُ كُلَّهُ فَإِنَّهُ أَحْسَنُ.
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘If a man experiences wet dream and his clothes come in contact with semen, he must wash the polluted area. If he thinks, but is not certain and has not seen the polluted area, he must pour water on it. If he is certain that semen has come in contact with his clothes but he has not see
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع عَنِ الْمَذْيِ يُصِيبُ الثَّوْبَ قَالَ لَيْسَ بِهِ بَأْسٌ.
‘It is not harmful.’”
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع يَقُولُ لَا نَرَى فِي الْمَذْيِ وُضُوءاً وَ لَا غَسْلًا مَا أَصَابَ الثَّوْبَ مِنْهُ إِلَّا فِي الْمَاءِ الْأَكْبَرِ[5].
“I heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), say, ‘Wudu’ is not necessary because of al-Madhiy (the pre-seminal fluid) nor is washing clothes which may have come in contact with it unless it is the major discharge of (semen).”’
