يُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَ يَمْضِي حَيْثُ شَاءَ[1].

“I once asked abu ’Abd Allah (a.s.), about a traveler if he can perform Salah (prayer) behind a non-traveler. He (the Imam) said, ‘After performing two Rak‘at, he then can move away whenever he wants.’”

سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع عَنِ الْمُسَافِرِ يُصَلِّي مَعَ الْإِمَامِ فَيُدْرِكُ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ أَ يُجْزِئُ ذَلِكَ عَنْهُ فَقَالَ نَعَمْ.

“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a traveler who performs Salah (prayer) behind an Imam and joins only for two Rak‘at, is it sufficient? He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, it is sufficient.’”
