Love of Women for their Husbands

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع يَقُولُ‌ انْصَرَفَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص مِنْ سَرِيَّةٍ قَدْ كَانَ أُصِيبَ فِيهَا نَاسٌ كَثِيرٌ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ فَاسْتَقْبَلَتْهُ النِّسَاءُ يَسْأَلْنَهُ عَنْ قَتْلَاهُنَّ فَدَنَتْ مِنْهُ امْرَأَةٌ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا فَعَلَ فُلَانٌ قَالَ وَ مَا هُوَ مِنْكِ قَالَتْ أَبِي قَالَ احْمَدِي اللَّهَ وَ اسْتَرْجِعِي فَقَدِ اسْتُشْهِدَ فَفَعَلَتْ ذَلِكَ ثُمَّ قَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ

“I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), saying that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, once returned from an armed expedition during which a large number of Muslims were killed. سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ ع يَقُولُ‌ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص لِابْنَةِ جَحْشٍ قُتِلَ خَالُكِ حَمْزَةُ قَالَ فَاسْتَرْجَعَتْ وَ قَالَتْ أَحْتَسِبُهُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهَا قُتِلَ أَخُوكِ فَاسْتَرْجَعَتْ وَ قَالَتْ أَحْتَسِبُهُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهَا قُتِلَ زَوْجُكِ فَوَضَعَتْ يَدَهَا عَلَى رَأْسِهَا وَ صَرَخَتْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص مَا يَعْدِلُ الزَّوْجَ عِنْدَ الْمَرْأَةِ شَيْ‌ءٌ.
